Could this be the end of burnt orange?

Say goodbye to summer and hello to fall by adding these autumnal event design techniques:

  1. Vibrant but muted colors are taking center stage in event designs for Fall, particularly bright colors paired with rustic wood.

Table linens in a rich turquoise hue are paired with rustic Willow chairs and Slice chargers.

  2. Pops of saturated color mixed with classic neutrals is a big trend, as is mixing glossy/shiny textures with matte finishes.

A pop of deep Garnet red in a matte-textured napkin adds punch to this gorgeous traditional fall tablescape.

  3. Event planners are turning down the color palette, and focusing instead on layering textures and patterns in their tablescapes.

Although the color palette is restricted, this look starts its layering with a pale silver base linen featuring a moire texture and a pewter-colored napkin with a raised pintuck design. Wood slice chargers contrast with beaded-edge Provence china and textured glass Coupe plates. Patterned Debutante wine glasses capture candlelight beautifully and complete the look.

  4. We especially see a focus on dupioni fabrics. Dupioni is a classic weave of silk that has finely slubbed threads in the horizontal direction only, giving it it’s signature subtle and elegant texture. Best of all, the dupioni weave is now available in fine polyester.
  5. Pairing City with Country. Call it Rustic-Industrial, Traditional-Modern, it’s hot!

Pair elegant gold flatware and patterned glassware with a rustic farm table, thick-weave Panama napkins, and Mason jar mugs.
